I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
